Thiele Kaolin is one of the leading sources for processed kaolin clay, with facilities in North America and Europe. Thiele mines, processes, blends and delivers a broad product line of kaolin grades each tailored to meet individual applications. Thiele activities are ISO-9001 certified—an emphasis on quality has been a company tradition since our establishment more than 50 years ago. Traditionally, Thiele Kaolin has tailored our products to meet customer needs in the paper manufacturing sector. Our filling and coating kaolin grades have been used in the paper industry for decades. In addition, we have been active in similar markets to paper such as building products, paints & coatings and plastics. |

KAOROCK™ is the first product Thiele Kaolin has marketed specifically to meet customer needs in the concrete area. Specifically, Thiele Kaolin saw a need to assist the growing concerns over strength and durability of concrete and related products. Metakaolin has been used since the mid-1990’s, and its application is to enhance the strength of concrete while at the same time improving durability. |
